The weekend was busy and good and i slept good last night and woke up at 4 ready for the day. Did 2 sets of 25 hanging leg raises and got ready for the gym.

How many times have you heard someone say that if they can just get this “_________________” accomplished they will be happy? A new job, a new house, a new car, a new toy, a new spouse, always something that they dont have but think that they need that is going to somehow, some way make them happy! Does it ever happen that way?
In church on sunday the pastor was preaching and he said, the thing about the new toy is that after the new smell wears off all that is left that is new is the payment that comes every month. Think about that for a second, how long does that new thing stay new? How long does that joy of the “NEW” stay before it becomes old and no longer gives that same happiness?
How often do we miss out on the joy and happiness that we could have today because we are too busy looking for something in the future? How many opportunities are you missing out on right now with you family while you are working towards an alleged goal that is supposed to provide you with happiness in the future when they are no longer around? How much are you wishing away your time with your children hoping for the next year to come when they will be a bit more responisble?
I have done it but thankfully it was before i had my children. I am very blessed to have not had my babies until i was in my mid thirties at a time when i was more settled in life. My life pretty much revolves around my monchers. Not that i dote on my monchers but i do take the time to enjoy them at every stage! I take the time to find happiness with them now!
Somewhere during my years of driving around the state i decided that striving for more and better and bigger was not worth it! It didnt bring me the alleged happiness that it promised! It didnt live up to the expectations that i had in my mind! It never made me happy for more than a very brief period of time!
Im glad that i learned this lesson when i was still young enough to enjoy most of my life by living for today instead of always wishing for tomorrow! If i never did another thing with my life i would be fine! If i never got another new car or went on another vacation, or bought another $400 purse, it would all be ok. I have learned that what i am experiencing right now, the things that i am doing and participating in right now, if i take a few moments, then i find the happiness right here, right now!
How much happiness are you missing out on right now because you cant see the forest through the trees of stuff? When you get that “stuff” that is supposed to make you happy, will there be anybody around you to enjoy it with? At the end of the day can you say you lived for today or is it always living for some time that might never arrive? Is it worth it?
“And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of the old who is called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. and i heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our god day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.” Revelation 12:9-11
Revelation, it is a difficult book to read and to understand if one is not open to what it says. For most of my life i was scared of the book Revelation. I didnt understand it, heck, i still dont understand it, there is so much imagery and not very pleasant things happening! But that doesnt mean that we shouldnt try to understand. That doesnt mean that we shouldnt spend time reading it and time hearing it preached by men of God that preach the undiluted word of God!
The first time i heard a great preacher teach on it, i was amazed! It really isnt as scary as it seems! I ordered a series by Chuck Swindoll where he taught through the entire book a verse at a time. He is well versed in the greek and hebrew language and he is an excellent teacher! It opened my eyes and my heart to much truth and the security that we have in Christ! The thing that struck me here this morning that i know but it still amazes me each time i think about it, is that satan is in heaven before God all day, every day! He and his demons are free to go where they want as long as God allows it. The devil is in heaven right now before God accusing you! Think about that for a few minutes. Not only does God see everything you are doing and know every thought that you are having but satan is there telling him what you are doing as well.
It is so easy for us to think that we are getting away with thing. We think that no one knows what we are doing behind the closed door of the office when we are on the computer and looking at things that we shouldnt or being involved in relationships that we shouldnt be. It is easy to rationalize it, it is easy to think that it doesnt matter but it does! Satan is up there right now telling God everything! Accusing you before God!
“Look at Joe down there, he is online right now looking at porn again. Come on God, what are you going to do about it? Let me go down there and take care of him for you God. I will make him sorry for you. I will expose him and bring his life down around him! I will lead his wife to the computer and have her find out everything that he is looking at. Let me take care of this for you God.”
“Look at Susie over there. She is having an online affair whats his name. I know she isnt really doing anything that bad but she isnt loving and respecting her husband with her words to other men! Let me go down there and tempt her further. Let me get her really needy for attention so that she starts sending him pics. Come on God, you know why she is doing it. Just let me fulfill her needs!”
You see, we think that are doing these sins by ourselves but we arent! God is watching and so is satan! God is convicting us and satan is trying to get us to fall deeper! Who are you listening to? Who are you allowing to rule your life?
This life isnt a game! It isnt easy to get out of sin! There have been sins that i have spent years trying to get over. I have good stretches and then boom, i fall into the same old trap again! I allow myself to rationalize things and set myself up for satan to accuse me before God and to war against me to get me to fall and to get me off track!
Here is the thing though, just because we fall and fail doesnt mean that we cant get up, dust ourselves off, fall on our knees, repent and seek forgiveness. The enemy wants us to stay down. He wants us to hate ourselves. He wants us to think that we are no good. He wants us to think that God can never use us because of our sin! Thats his job! But YOU have a choice to make! You choose to do right or wrong. You choose to make the difficult decision to throw your computer away, or quit your job, or give up your toys that you cant afford! When you stand and you choose right over wrong, God shuts satan down!
There is coming a day, soon, where satan is going to be thrown out of heaven. No longer will he be allowed to come before God and accuse anyone. But he will be here on earth and he will be fighting against every person who believes in God!
We have the power to overcome the devil! Jesus died and rose again so that we could be victorious over sin in our life! But we have to choose to take that power! We have to choose life over death! We have to stand up to the enemy!
If you are struggling with sin, tell someone! Hold yourself accountable! If you are doing things that those closest to you dont know anything about, you are wrong and you are leaving yourself open to temptation and sin! You are painting a great big target on your heart of the enemy to see! If your spouse doesnt know you are on this site, ask yourself why? If they wouldnt approve then you shouldnt be here. Men are to love their wives like God loves the church. Wives are to be respectful of their husbands. God doesnt do things that are going to hurt the church! You shouldnt be doing things that would hurt your spouse if they knew about!
Take a stand now! You can have victory over whatever you are struggling with but you have to stop rationalizing it! You have to do the hard work of standing against the enemy and his army that is pushing you towards sin and death! Its difficult and you will fall but it is so worth the time and effort and the bumps and bruises!
What part of your life are you hiding from those who love you? What is the devil accusing you of right now before God? Are you making his attack against you easy or hard?
Jesus, thank you that you strengthen me to resist temptation! thank you that when i stand for you, you will never leave me! thank you that as i grow in you i am stronger and more able to defeat the enemy! continue to open my eyes to the sin and areas of weakness in my life! Help me to remove myself from them. Give me strength and courage to say no!
Thank you for good rest last night! I thank you for the opportunities that i have this week to shine for you to those who are lost and hurting. I ask for your healing hand to touch Cooper the dobi that his intestines will seal together with no leakage or further deterioration of the bowel. Use me today to love those who are in my life! Fill me with your compassion for those who are in need! Guide me in all that i do. Give me wisdom and knowledge to diagnosis and treat properly. Thank you my Lord for all that you do for me! I love you Lord!
